A Post for Mom and Dad

Dear Mom and Dad,

We finally spent the money you gave us for Christmas. We bought this beautiful mirror for the front room in our house. If you click on the photo you'll be able to read my message for you. I had to write it backwards so you could read it in the mirror? (Have you ever tried to write backwards? It's not very easy.)

Anyway, thank you for helping to make our house a home. This is now the only room we actually have something on each wall.

We got this picture from my sister-in-law (Ashley) and family. I love it because it reminds me of a forest painting we had in our home growing up. I love getting lost in images like this.

And this picture is right beside our front door. I put it together at Roberts (craft store). I must have spent 45 minutes in the store laying our all the different letters. I wanted to make sure I didn't get all capitol letters, or all lowercase, or all black, or all white. I think I ended up with a good combination. It always makes my day when people comment on it.

P.S. I'm wearing a Canada hat in the first photo because...
A) I'm a proud Canadian during the Vancouver Olympics;
B) My hair was awful;
and C) It was a present from Amanda Butterfield, a reporter at KSL who just came home from covering the Olympics. She bought it for a live shot out of Vancouver, and I guess she figured she couldn't see herself wearing it again so she gave it to me! I love it!

  4. um, apparently I need to start keeping up on blogs more. I totally wanted to do this idea for the area between our living room and office--only a lot huger. You must tell me all about it! I thought I was so original, and then I see this post and a friend of mine who spelled out "love." Sheesh!
